On Vacation

One of my personal goals is to take all my vacation in this year. Never before in ministry (15 years now) have I accomplished this feat. I am a diagnosable work-o-holic who loves his tasks and will never be satisfied that enough has been done to save the world. However, I am also now a diagnosable reformed man. I have found the balance of "saving the world", "enjoying my own salvation" and "living and loving my family."
It is awesome! Incredibly, I am nowhere near as good at this as I will be one day and I can't imagine how great that will be.
So - this is a week of vacation - a fact that I should have written to you yesterday. After 60 or so straight weekdays of writing this online article, I am going to take this week off from writing as well. I hope you will put your feet up and enjoy a few moments at home and with your Father.
I am headed back to the porch and the cool night air. See you on Monday the 17th of October.
