Day One - The Drill

Alisha Is A Driller!Here we go - can you believe it?  Alisha and heavy equipment!  We arrived and settled in well today with a quick lunch, devotion and then off to learning, to unpack and field dress a water well drilling rig.  Incredible!

We have learned all kinds of cool terms like "down hole" and "cave in" and " venturi".  Everyone is showering now and the full blog will be up tomorrow for today's lessons.  Let's suffice to say that it was very warm today, the work was good, we learned all the part names, assembled the well and we are amazed at the simplicity of the actual machine.  Tomorrow we begin to learn what Bob called "the dance" that is the art of using a simple machine to find water.
