Cold, Wet and Successful!

Yep! It's An Aquifer! We Hit Water!Today we learned the true definition of the phrase, "Colder than a well diggers bottom!" The temperatures never met 60 degrees and the wind chill dropped it more. Add the water and you have a chilly day. Tonight, everyone except Jerry will be wearing socks and comfy warm clothes. The coffee and hot chocolate is flowing quickly.
Tommy, Greg, John and Mike are the cooks tonight and are smoking chicken. We are warming up, hungry and laughing as is the case always. Jerry adds, "Don't forget Susan's classic statement of the day, "The pump really sucks!" To which Mike, the co-trainer and engineer added, "No. That's not correct. Let me put this simply for you to help you understand. The pump is actually a positive pressure pump..." So, Joel Peters has a brother.
We are having a blast. Today we made thirty feet and hit our first aquifer (that's good when you are looking for water). Tommorow we tap it and start a new well. That should be three for the week, two good and one bad. The training is going well with every challenge from cold, wet, rainy today to hitting a cavern yesterday.
The team is indeed learning the art. We all completed one rotation at every job and then settled into our favorites which didn't surprise anyone from our church. Awesome!
Tomorrow morning, we will tell you more. Time for showers and warmth. Check out the pictures to the right.![]()
