Shipwrecked!

Is It Unclogged Yet?A new friend, Tommy (who is from the co-trainers church - a fellow Tres Dias guy - and a servant) told a story before breakfast this morning (he and friends served us this morning).
"There were two men who found themselves shipwrecked on an island and they decided to split the island. The first man prayed every day for food, shelter, a wife and a ship to rescue him. Each day he found food and water and God provided shelter and wisdom. A beautiful wife became his and then, alas, one day there was a ship. The rescue vessel! It arrived! As he loaded his belongings (his blessings from his prayers) onto the ship the other man came up and asked to get aboard as well. The first man said, "Clearly my friend God has not blessed you at all. He has not provided answers to your prayers. He is not on your side. Why should you be allowed to get on the ship?"
"Because all the time you were praying for you, I was praying for your prayers to be answered!", said the second man.
Many will come here over time and drill wells with us around the world. They will vie for the Lead Driller position or perhaps the Assistant Driller's job. At first blush, those jobs seem to be the best of the best. But it would be far more honorable to work the sloppy mud pit and pray for the success of the lead driller.
I go to a church where only the young and immature in the Lord seek the best positions. Oh sure, some like to be in charge and really would like to be the lead driller but most of our people have become or are becoming mature disciples who constantly seek to take the lesser job that God and someone else might become greater.
Even more blessed am I because at our church the goal is to have the best team and best family for God and His work. So not only are the people willing to serve and love the seemingly "lesser" jobs but they will take or give any job even if they don't like it so that the team will be "the best use for God." What is your perspective on life and God's work? Do you head for the front or the back of the line?
Who do you pray for?
TRIP UPDATE: It is cold and rainy and the day is just beginning. They say that it is going to be very dangerous today. The team is doing well and there should be very muddy pictures today. Check them out after 5 EST. BTW, the team unanimously voted that Eric Miller will LOVE THIS STUFF - it is right up his alley! Have a great day and don't forget to pray. On we go to well No. 1 and then No. 2.
