Focus
Thursday, February 23, 2006 at 06:09PM A young calf starts to wander after fresh grazing
And eventually finds itself stranded
Among frightful chasms.
So it is with the soul,
For thoughts gradually lead it astray.

Leaders are visionaries by nature and very easily distracted. Leaders are usually managed very loosely if managed at all. Leaders can easily tire of what becomes to them mundane.
Staying focused is one of the hardest tasks of leadership; for when you lead, you are out in front.
Those who follow us need us to fight the very basic tendency of the soul to be led astray from the heart of God by the thoughts of the world. Those who follow us need us to stay fresh and focused even when we lead them for the second time on the path we have traveled 15 times.
As Christian leaders, if we can control the wandering of our souls, we will most likely save the lives of our followers by being wise, full of the Spirit and true.
