Less Gossip - More Economy

Do not listen to gossip
At your neighbor’s expense,
And do not spend time talking with
Those who love to find fault in others,
Otherwise you will fall away from the love of God
And find yourself alienated from the eternal life.

Maximus the Confessor

If we as leaders could only get our people to grasp this truth, to embrace it and never let it go – how great would our organizations be? The one who gossips would change or leave to find people to listen to him. People would be encouraged. Love – as corny as that sounds – would abound. Selflessness would result in teamwork and increased productivity. Emotions would even out and melodramas would cease.

Gossip and fault finding alienates us from The Eternal Life.

If we as leaders embraced this truth – how great of leaders would we be to our people? Lift them up!
