Defeated?

I hate seeing a man defeated.
A man defeated by his own actions, his regrets, his failures
Is full of apologies and verbal repentance.
A man who has repented is full of change.
This man turns from his wrong and handles his regret
With a stern determination that he will never again
“Do that”, “think that” or “go there.”
He refuses to be damned by the enemy
For he knows that he has been sanctified
In repentance by his Lord.
This man no longer wallows,
He is no longer afraid of his shadow,
He is no longer worried with pleasing men
For he is afraid most of the Lord.
He is a man who has found his virility
In a confidence that is only found
In a clear vision, clear mind and clear heart.
He is the man who can be used by God.
He is not a burden to the people,
the church or his family.

This reminds me of a Scripture:

"For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."

John 3:17

We can be free from the power of sin. Leaders who are free can set followers free.
