2003 Fastener Fish

He is still trapped and it destroys me to watch it.
He answered the call but then traded it for desire.
He did not count the cost but perhaps he did not know how
He lost it all but still claims to have it.

In the Light, he heard the Voice and answered.
Well on the path and headed on the way of a leader,
The Voice filled him with ideas, compassion and wisdom.
He touched lives in transparency and honesty.

He had a demon that he had not killed.
He hid it deep and did not warn his fellows.
He coddled it and toyed with the idea of toying with it.
He did not run away.

In the shadows of the trees of the jungle, he stood
Well within reach of the demon.
A voice filled him with ideas and rationalizations.
He tried to touch lives but hypocrisy bred insecurity.

He now declares to one it is wrong and to the other it is right.
He lives with those who struggle.
He justifies his current life though the Word speaks.
He is lost but still claims the Call.

Now deep in the jungle, his eyes have adjusted.
Visions of grandeur and great things once dim,
Now they seem as bright as the Light.
He has been tricked by isolation.

He had brothers and sisters who loved him.
He rejected their warnings and love.
He lost his transparency even though they now knew
He ran away.

There is a Savior waiting – thank God.
The Voice stills speaks and the Light shines outside the jungle.
There is a Call – it is different and says, “Return”.
I am only one decision away from his fall.

It doesn't look like there is too much conversation going on here. :) I assume you are documenting your daily journal over the years and/or you are collecting material for a book.

It's good to see that you are still thinking artistically.

We opened this site up for conversations at one point but some people are not so gracious.

I am glad that you see me being artistic - who who is guiroo?

Some items are for a book but our goal is to help pass on knowledge gained in the trench to other leaders.

Thanks for the post.

I can see why. Was it because that some people that you have written about feel like they've already had their day in front of the Great White Throne?

Either way, I'll take it with a grain of salt — it's your blog to write your thoughts. :)

If I just told you who I was then that would be no fun. You have all you need to find out who who guiroo is. [Insert mysterious music.]

Thx to RSS, now we can keep up with each other.

Alas - Mr. Ennis, or is that GUI (as in graphical user interface) + roo like guroo.

Each of us has our day before the throne and many of them have attended to me while I was there. Wisdom led me to not use their names and alas, all of the trouble went away.

Unlike you I do not understand RSS and so I am not linked to you...but maybe one day.
