Nannie-Nannie-Poo-Poo

Good always wins because God is good and God always wins! Do you and I believe it? The Christian Leader has an incredible (actually an unbeatable) edge because he can know exactly what God wants and he can win because God wins.

Some things just don’t smell right to begin with. Other things just don’t feel right when you hear about them. There is a sense – perhaps it is the Spirit within the Christian leader that is sounding an alarm. What, though, is a Christian leader to do? Can you chase every ghost and feeling? What about when there is really something wrong? Should you reach into people’s personal lives? How far can you go to keep the church pure? How far did Jesus – the greatest example of Christian Leadership – go to keep everything pure? What did the disciples do?

Today’s message is simple though and like a little child I run screaming before you, “Nannie-Nannie-Poo-Poo Satan – Nannie-Nannie-Poo-Poo – I am not afraid of you for even if I mess up in the end God wins – He always wins – Nannie – Nannie – Poo – Poo – my Dad is bigger than you!” It is true, the simplest, the most primary, the most clear, the most important and the first truth that every leader should embrace. It is the hardest to embrace because the more effective that you become, the more the enemy and those who aren’t paying attention to him or God, will attack your life and ministry. It is unfortunate but true. It is easy to forget that God was winning before we entered the stage and He will be winning long after we exit. God will win. In fact, God has won. Anyone who works against Him or outside his methods is foolish, stupid and crazy.

When the going gets tough and you hunker down in prayer and find yourself in desperate need of affirmation, the only affirmation you need is God’s. If God approves then you are good – golden. If God is for you then who can be against you? God is good and God will win. You do not have to win. You win when He wins.

No matter how much ground the enemy or stupid people take and trade around you and your post in leadership – God knows and is capable of winning. He will win and if he is not winning right now, there might be a reason and He might be aware of it. Why would God let cruddy things happen that damage and destroy people? Why would he let young Christians be challenged by those that seek to lead them away from the clear and undefiled Way? We may not see the end solution to every one of life’s equations but we most certainly can know for sure that He is not unaware.

God will win. You can confidently run around like a crazed child and scream at the top of your lungs, “God will win!” It is a guarantee. God will win. Even if He allows you to pay part of the price that must be paid for someone else, He will win.

So when you face something scary, smelly that doesn’t feel or look right – do not fear. God is with you! When you have no clue what to do or if you should do anything at all – do not fear for the Lord is in charge. If He will not or cannot stop it, then you have no power to even think of making a difference. If God wants to use you to address it or help people, then He will be clear. But no matter what, no matter how long you have to wait, no matter how hard it is to watch – remember, God will win.

There is no question. He will win and all those following Him will win. Appeal to your Father, not to your friends or your board, when it smells and feels wrong – He knows everything. He wins. He will win. He has won.
