Emotion vs. Fact

Enter the greatest fight of the century. Don King, ushers Emotion into one corner of the ring and the crowd goes wild. David Kolb ushers Fact cattycorner to the King Team and awaits the ringmaster. The fighters shake and the fight begins. The crowd still goes wild for Emotion. The roars and whoops are most for Emotion and the mass of the crowd follows his every punch. Boos and jeers greet most of Facts hits in the fight but there is a tenacity to his punches. It can not be ignored! Fact is getting in more points but with each point the crowd yells more for Emotion. The fight goes on so long that even the crowd tires. Fact has held firm in a fight that no one expected to last long. Wait! Fact has knocked out Emotion. Emotion is motionless! Fact wins! Fact wins! It is the upset of the century. The crowd is silent. Their mouths dropping open! Then quietly as if in the movie Rudy as chant begins on the front row, “Fact! Fact! Fact!” Within minutes, the crowd is on its feet again and now cheering. The announcers has changed their position by 180 degrees, “As I said Bob, Fact is a big contender and will most likely win!” No one notices the difference except those few indignant fans who were with Fact all along.

In the end – facts not feelings or emotions – wins. Who are you rooting for?
